NERHA Ride & Try Intro To Ranch Horse
With ARHA Judge, Amanda Lamoureux

Join us for a Ride & Try Intro to Ranch Horse Clinic! We’ll walk through select ARHA pattern classes with live demonstrations, then give you the chance to ride the pattern. Afterward, you’ll review your ride with Amanda and get another opportunity to ride the pattern with feedback in mind. A fun, low-pressure way to get started in North East Ranch Horse Association and showing.
Clinic Fee $150 NERHA members, $200 non-members.
Limited to 12 Riders.
Lunch included for clinic participants.

NERHA Intro To Ranch Roping

Join us for an Intro to Ranch Roping Clinic focused on the Ranch Roping class offered at NERHA shows. The clinic will begin with basic rope handling and groundwork, emphasizing proper loops and style. Once riders are ready, we’ll move to horseback work within the herd, covering how to approach your numbered cow, keep the herd settled, and confidently rope your cow.
Clinic Fee $175 NERHA members, $225 non-members.
Limited to 10 riders.

NERHA Ranch Riding & Pattern Clinic
.With AQHA Professional Horseman, Kristy Smith
NERHA is excited to welcome Kristy Smith, AQHA Professional, for a weekend ranch horse clinic at the Cobleskill Fairgrounds on May 2 & 3. This two-day clinic will feature AM and PM sessions both days, allowing riders flexibility when signing up.
Saturday will focus on Ranchmanship patterns and Ranch Riding, while Sunday will highlight Ranch Trail Obstacles, giving riders a well-rounded ranch horse education. Each session is limited to 10 riders to ensure individualized instruction.
Participants may sign up for the full weekend (one session per day) or choose a single day and session. Spots are limited—don’t miss this opportunity to learn from an experienced AQHA Professional and sharpen your ranch horse skills.

NERHA Practice Days
With Brian Woods, Amie Beaulieu and Karlene Bushey
Practice days will be held in the outdoor arena and are designed to be flexible, productive, and fun. There will be open arena time before and after the times listed below.
Saturday Morning (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM):
Ranchmanship pattern practice, at-will style. Come ride the patterns that will be featured at our May show—run through them at your own pace and get dialed in. Coached sessions may be available based on interest.
Saturday Afternoon (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM):
Ranch Trail practice. Get a sneak peek at the trail pattern and work through the course. Coached sessions will also be offered depending on interest.
Flag practice—coached or non-coached, your choice!
Bonus: Sign up for NERHA Practice Days and audit the Kristy Smith clinic for FREE.• $50 per day NERHA Members | $60 per day Non-Members
